If you've got an 8th gen Civic Si, your factory flywheel will not work with this kit. You have to run the RSX Type-S flywheel, and that's not a suggestion, the clutch physically won't fit right otherwise. So plan for that cost upfront before you order. And no matter which car you're on, resurface or replace your flywheel when you put this clutch in. Bolting fresh friction material against a scored old flywheel is a waste of your money and your afternoon. The Competition Clutch light steel flywheel or the ultra-light flywheel for the K20A2/A3/Z1/Z3 are both good ways to pair this up.

Give it 300 miles of easy driving before you lean on it. No hard launches, no slipping it up a hill, no track days. The friction material has to bed into the flywheel face evenly, and if you rush that, you'll end up with hot spots, inconsistent engagement, and a clutch that never quite holds the way it should.
